The Call for Participation for the second Designing for User eXperience (DUX) conference is now available at www.dux2005.org.
As for the first DUX conference, four categories of submissions are solicited: design case studies, design research studies, design practice studies, and design sketches. Studies must report on implemented designs and the methods and techniques people have used, specifying what worked, what did not work, and why.
Look over the CFP and start composing your submissions, as the deadline for their receipt is June 15. A submission kit that provides greater detail about acceptable submission format and structure will become available via the website soon.
Note that DUX 2005 is a fabulous opportunity for your company to make it clear that it supports good design for user experience. Look for descriptions of sponsorship opportunities to appear on the website soon as well.
Send your questions or comments to me via riander@riander.com, to all three conference chairs (myself, John Zapolski, and Brian Blau) via conference@dux2005.org, or to the program chairs (Nancy Frishberg, Rakhi Rajani, and Clark Dodsworth) via program@dux2005.org. We are planning a somewhat bigger and even better conference than DUX 2003, which was a sellout and a wonderful experience.
